Will you help us do more in 2025?

Yes, Artspace Is thriving! image

Our vitality relies on financial support through donations, foundation funding and public grants.

In 2024 we saw dramatic growth in membership and attendance, thanks to major exhibits, exciting activities and educational programs made possible by our donors.
Artspace’s growing stature is spurring public demand for more high-quality exhibits and activities.

These programs require resources.

In 2024 our donors helped Artspace to:
● Showcase works and performances by nationally recognized artists including a major exhibit of work from the country’s leading ceramicists and an exhibition of work by Virginia artists who attended the prestigious Cite art residency in Paris.
● Offer our featured artists honoraria to help cover their exhibition costs.
● Serve hundreds of Richmond area residents with popular writing workshops, poetry slams, drawing classes and community art days — all free of charge.
● Invest in upgrading our gallery facility to better accommodate larger crowds, enhance our dated administrative technology and add paid part-time staffing support.

For 2025 Artspace will build on this momentum:
● Continue to exhibit high-quality art and offer a variety of compelling performances by musicians, dancers and other cultural entertainers.
● Further invest in upgrading our building space to better accommodate physically challenged visitors.
● Expand our community outreach to support and show more work by emerging and established artists from underrepresented groups.
● Artspace is celebrating its 36th as a Richmond institution. Your financial support will enable us to plan for our next 36 years adding to Richmond’s vibrant cultural scene.
Thank you for supporting Artspace,

Ed Holten, Artspace President
